General Overseer of the Synagogue
Church Of All Nations, Prophet TB Joshua
is not one who talks with the media
unless it is important. In this latest
interview, he warns politicians not to
derail the nation’s democracy. He spoke
with Tai Anyanwu on the State of the
Nation and the battle ahead. Excerpts...
There are so many troubles in Nigeria today,
problems with insecurity, threats to national
unity and political manoeuvres by rival
political parties. What are your comments
concerning these troubled times in the
country?
It is a normal thing for a country that has
a bright future, God’s promise. A bright
future always attracts persecution,
condemnation and enemies when it’s
realised that the future is bright; you will
see a lot of pressures and threats. The
country is on the path to greatness; it will
compete with any Western nation in the
future and the Western nations know that
Nigeria is going to be a giant. The
greatness will still come but for the
coming generation.
With the turbulence being experienced in
some states of the federation; and the
election just around the corner, how will
things play out?
Elections will not happen in...
Some states because of the frequent
attacks. This could affect between three to
four states. The states would be a no-go
area due to violence and elections would
not take place in those states unless we
move closer to God. We must intensify
our prayers. This is what God has showed
me and you can imagine what would
happen if elections don’t hold in those
states. It would have great implication for
our democracy.
How should we manage it?
We should not allow the politicians to
politicise all the areas of our lives. For
example if you want to enjoy anything,
you have to be part of their party – to get
a job, etc. Unless you are part of their
party, you cannot benefit from things that
should be available to you as a citizen.
Look at electricity, health etc. - they have
politicised everything. Even religion has
been politicised; Christianity has been
politicised. Politicians go to church; the
pulpit is where they campaign now.
Even they go to churches and mosques to
bomb them. These are people in church
who had gone to pray for themselves.
Must everybody become a politician? How
we handle the situation at hand now
matters. If the situation is not well
managed, we will find ourselves
postponing the great Nigeria, meaning we
will not witness it but it would be
witnessed by our children.
Don’t let us politicise every area of our
lives. Let us carefully play our politics
with keen decency because 2015 matters
in the history of Nigeria. It is either we
cross the bridge successfully or it
collapses. A good Nigerian that wants this
greatness should be able to pay whatever
proper price that is needed to be paid to
make this dream of a great Nigeria
possible. If your being in politics will
make this greatness come, then join. From
now to 2015 is a very important period in
the history of Nigeria and if we don’t
manage the situation well, our democracy
would be rubbished.
How do you mean … that our democracy
would be rubbished?
A situation where there would be
lawlessness – lawlessness in the sense that
the law would not be capable of guiding
us because of the pros (for) and cons
(against) as contained in the law. That
would now take so much time which
would lead Nigeria to a discussion table.
Where would you and I be at that time?
What can you say about APC and PDP?
In body we can call it APC and PDP but in
spirit, they are one and the same thing. I
am yet to see the difference. I am looking
forward to seeing the difference.
The president has just suspended Sanusi
Lamido and people are saying he is being
witchhunted because of his revelation on
$20bn missing oil money. What is your take
on this?
There are some agencies that are
technical. CBN is one of the agencies that
we should not play politics with or
politicise. One, the head of the agency
should do away with politics; the
president should also not play politics
with the agency.
With the situation in Nigeria today and the
agitation on 2015, what advice do you have
for politicians not to create more tension in
the polity and what is the way out?
The advice; many of us need to leave
politics while many others need to join, in
order to inject fresh blood. The people
that need to leave politics are not the
common people. This is in order to avert
the disaster that could rubbish our
democracy
The Synagogue is now like a tourist centre;
what’s happening here that is different from
what is happening in other churches?
There is nothing happening here that is
different from other living churches. If
there is any difference, it is the
availability of abundance of anointing to
meet needs. Where there is demand,
there is supply, says the Lord.

REVEALED!!! Jonathan visits OBJ @atta farm
Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan
today made an unscheduled visit to his
political mentor and former President,
Olusegun Obasanjo. Mr Jonathan met
Obasanjo playing the popular Yoruba
game of Ayo while he adorned a long
traditional attire, Jalamia. According to
sources who were at the venue of the
meeting, Obasanjo was not expecting the
President
hence he did not tell any of his aides.
President Jonathan was reported to have
told him that he came to pay homage for
the New Year.
He left the venue after discussing some
undisclosed issues with him around
3.35pm
The relationship between the Godfather
and Godson has recently gone soue after
Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan
accused ex-leader Olusegun Obasanjo of
threatening “national security” by
whipping up opposition to his rule.
Mr Obasanjo had “set the stage for
subversion” after making false claims of
assassination plots and “high corruption”
in government, he said.
Mr Jonathan was responding for the first
time to a letter Mr Obasanjo wrote to
him earlier this month.
He had called on the president not to
seek re-election in 2015.
The public spat between the two men
shows the deep divisions that have
engulfed the governing People’s
Democratic Party (PDP), amid fears that
it could lose the election under Mr
Jonathan’s leadership, correspondents
say.
Last week, Mr Jonathan lost his majority
in the lower chamber, the House of
Representatives, after 37 PDP MPs
defected to the opposition All
Progressives Congress (APC) party.
A powerful faction of state governors
have also crossed over to the APC,
leaving the PDP with fewer governors
than the opposition.
In a rebuttal letter to Mr Obasanjo, Mr
Jonathan said his government had taken
effective steps to tackle the myriad
problems that it inherited when it took
office in 2010 – including corruption, oil
theft, kidnappings, armed robberies and
an Islamist-led insurgency.
“It is very regrettable that in your letter,
you seem to place sole responsibility for
the ongoing intrigues and tensions in the
PDP at my doorstep, and going on from
that position, you direct all your appeals
for a resolution at me,” Mr Jonathan
said.
The president said Mr Obasanjo had
accused him of putting more than 1,000
Nigerians on a “political watch list, and
that I am training snipers and other
militia to assassinate people”.
Such allegations were “unconscionable
and untrue” but he had asked the
security agencies and National Human
Rights Commission to investigate them,
he said.
“Baba [father], I don’t know where you
got that from but you do me grave
injustice in not only lending credence to
such baseless rumours, but also
publicising it,” Mr Jonathan added.
The president said Mr Obasanjo had
“surreptitiously” obtained a letter
written by Central Bank governor
Lamido Sanusi, alleging that nearly
$50bn (£30bn) was “unaccounted for” by
the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC).
However, the allegation was “spurious”
and Mr Obasanjo should apologise for
impugning the integrity of the
government, he added.
“In closing, let me state that you have
done me grave injustice with your public
letter in which you wrongfully accused
me of deceit, deception, dishonesty,
incompetence, clannishness, divisiveness
and insincerity, amongst other ills,” he
said.
Mr Jonathan moved from the vice-
presidency to the presidency in 2010
after his predecessor, Umaru Yar’Adua,
died in office.
He won presidential elections the
following year, with the backing of Mr
Obasanjo.
A former military ruler, Mr Obasanjo
won democratic elections in 1999 and
2003 on the platform of the PDP.
He stepped down in 2007, after failing to
win support to change the constitution
so that he could run for a third term.

How To Know Your Guy May Be Gay
It can be quite baffling how a woman could not know that her man is gay after dating him for some times. While the stereotypically view of gay men are as flamboyant, cross dressing wannabe females, not all gay men display what are typically considered to be “gay tendencies.” Blessing Ukemena writes with report from Madamnoire..com.
This gay thing seems to be everywhere now. However, it is not celebrated in Nigeria or most African countries, but that does not mean it does not exist here. Some gay men, like recently out-of-the-closet NBA player Jason Collins, are the average, athletic, masculine men who date women.
Even Collins’ ex said she had no idea that he was gay. So, what is a woman with such a case to do? There is no sure-fire way to tell if your man might secretly be into men, but here are a few clues that you might want to look out for, if you have your suspicions.
1. Effeminate Tendencies
Let’s be clear: not all men who display effeminate qualities are gay. But most men are aware of things women typically do…and try to avoid doing them. If he walks with a sway, like a woman would, or has a “dainty” way about him that seems to come naturally, you might want to keep an eye open. Again, some men simply have a “way” about them that comes off as feminine, but you know the difference between feminine and secretly wanting to be a girl.
2. Overly Sensitive
Again, just because a man is sensitive doesn’t mean he’s gay, and honestly, most women wish their men were a bit more caring and affectionate. But if your man is overly emotional and cries at the drop of a hat, then he should be checked.
One can’t automatically assume that a man who expresses himself in an emotional way is homosexual, just like there is no way of telling that a “manly-man” is straight. A man, who is gentle and caring, is a great catch, but an overly sensitive man may be one of several indicators that he prefers men over women. Not a fact, just an observation.
3. Loves Guy Adult Videos
The first two examples given could go either way, but a man who watches gay male adult videos should be a flashing signal that your man might be gay. Whether he watches it openly or you “discover” it, you may want to ask him what his fascination is with watching men have sex.
It’s one thing to “stumble” across it while searching through adult video sites, and another to actually enjoy watching it regularly. The main reason people watch adult videos is to become aroused, so if watching other men have sex excites him, you probably have an answer as to whether or not your man is gay.
4. Homophobic Behaviour
Sure, there are some men who are turned off by homosexuality, but they usually can keep their feelings to themselves and keep it moving. As long as no gay men hit on them or disrespect them in any way, they’re cool – and probably even have gay friends. But if your man displays extremely homophobic behaviour when none is warranted, then he could be hiding something.
Sometimes, down low men try to lash out at other gay men to take the suspicion off themselves. By making “gay” jokes or if he seems particularly angry towards gay men or their behaviour for no apparent reason, he could be trying to throw you off his scent.
5. He Cross-dresses
Some men can try to put on his woman’s clothes as a joke, but not too many straight men find any humour in that. This is not for the actors, but it’s about the guy you catch wearing your teddy, bra, panties, blouses and your lipstick when you come home early unexpectedly. That dude. Again, he may just have some freaky fantasies, but he also could secretly wish he was a woman too.
6. Flirts With Men
There is no one straight man that ogles or flirts with other men, so this just seems like an obvious one to me. Sure, your man may be friendly towards everyone, but if he seems overly complimentary of a guy’s physical appearance, touches them or winks at another dude even if he says he’s just being “playful” – run for the hills.
7. Calls From Men
Most women know who their man’s male friends are, and your man talking to them regularly on the phone is no big deal. But if he gets a ridiculous amount of calls from random men that you don’t know, or that he had never mentioned to you before, it might be time to put up a red flag. If these are not business calls, but seemingly lingering or personal calls, you better be a bit concerned and ask him about it.
8. One ‘Special’ Friend
It’s not weird for a man to have a best friend. But if he spends more alone time with one particular man than he does with you, that’s cause for concern. If they go out to watch the game every week or play basketball, cool.
But if they’re holed up somewhere for hours at a time, or seem to take several vacations together that don’t include you and another woman, you might want to consider that they have a level of intimacy that goes above a “romance.” Most men save that time for their woman, not their male friend. You’ll just have to go with your gut on this one. So, if you think something is up, it probably is.
